The ‘Double-Layer Snail’ survived the FAB-3000 strike

On 20 June 2024, russia used a FAB-3000 aerial bomb against Ukraine in the village of Lyptsi, Kharkiv Oblast. The powerful explosion destroyed the surrounding concrete structures, creating a crater several metres deep.

Our Ferum Will TM shelter, “Double-Layer Snail”, was located in the blast zone. The explosion occurred just 10–15 metres away from it. Despite the massive shock wave and flying debris, the shelter did not suffer any critical damage. The first layer of metal remained intact, with no penetrations recorded. Most importantly, no one was injured.

This incident is unprecedented proof that Ferum Will TM structures can withstand even extremely powerful air strikes.

Proactive military personnel at the scene recorded the shelter after the explosion: it remained in position, retaining its integrity and stability. We are still unable to remove the “Snail” for research and restoration, as this area was previously a grey zone, and there is still a threat to people and a problem with the impassability of equipment.

At the moment, we only have preliminary footage, but we plan to publish higher-quality photos and videos in the near future.

Ferum Will TM continues to create solutions that prove their effectiveness in real combat conditions.
